Olive Oil is the foundation of Mediterranean cuisine and Altilia Extra Virgin Olive Oil is among the finest available. It is well known in the Subappennino Dauno region for it's fragrance, flavor, nutritional qualities and extremely low acidity rate of .3% or less. Acidity rate is the fundamental characteristic of olive oil quality, and under international standards an acidity rate of .8% or less is required to deem ones oil to be "Extra Virgin". Altilia Extra Virgin Olive Oil far surpasses that standard by using old fashion production methods passed on through generations of the Altilia family Derived exclusively from a mixture of organically grown olives native to the region ("Coratina", "Leccino" and "Ogliarola").
STORAGE
Olive oils of the quality of Altilia Extra Virgin must be stored in a cool location away from heat and excessive light. Under these conditions it will retain it's delicate flavor, outstanding fragrance and it's nutritional value for 24 months or longer. Recommended ambient storage temperature of between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius (57 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit) for maximum longevity.
